The #4 Mountain West is ranked as much stronger than the #7 PAC-10 this year, with a more difficult Strength of Schedule to boot. BYU and SDSU being #2 and #3 in the RPI must help. As does the Cougars' 22-point win over Arizona, the PAC-10 champ.
